Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary

This is one of the very popular wildlife sanctuary in Jammu and it is named as Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary, which is situated at a distance of about 28 kilometres from Jammu on the NHIA. The entire surface area of this wildlife sanctuary is stretched over an area of 33 square kilometres. This wildlife sanctuary finds its name from a village which is situated in close proximity to this sanctuary. 

The village is the Nandini village which has a substantial pheasant population. This sanctuary is acclaimed worldwide due to the significant pheasant dominance. Also, the collection of pheasants provide a breath taking view during the morning and one would get mesmerized by this rare view of nature where the birds are one with the natural habitat and are seen in their glorious best.

The nearest airport and railway station is in Jammu, which is 28 kilometres away, thus, reaching this wildlife sanctuary is convenient. There are many means of local transport which can be uses to reach this place from the city in the form of local taxis, tourist buses etc. Also, there are direct taxis available from the airport and the railway station, which can take the visitors to the wildlife sanctuary once they reach Jammu.

Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary is considered as an eye-catching locale which is blessed with different types of topography.
